Pandemic effect of coronavirus

As we know, coronavirus spreads through contact, due to its highly infectious nature it is mandatory to avoid any type of contacts in order to stop its spread. But the daily needs of a person can not be denied, so scientists have made robots to tackle the issues which are created in the result of the pandemic. They are trying to develop a system to avoid daily contacts of humans without affecting the routine life. The only solution for this problem is the invention of robots replacing the humans who do different works for needs of life. These robots may be proved as contact-free alternatives for the well-being and safety of humans. These can assist us to get done our necessary works while we stay at home by providing us with delivery services. But the fact, these are not affordable for everyone. But efforts are made to make them built-in possible least prices.

Robots used in Hospitals

Due to epidemic, doctors and other medical staff of the hospital are also exposed to infections of coronavirus. They are fighting at the edge of hazards of getting the disease, but now scientists invented robots which are programmed to go to the hospital ward and treat the patient as per essay help UK research. This can be a high helping hand to medical staff with a minimum risk of spread of coronavirus. They can use these robots to take temperature, measuring blood pressure and oxygen saturation remotely for those patients who are helping on ventilators.

Moreover, some robots are invented to use as a disinfecting source for the whole hospital. These look like revolving fluorescent lights, rotating in the vertical direction and travels the complete building of hospital while emitting ultraviolet rays to disinfect the surfaces and floors. A hotel in the UK is using a carrot-like robot, which is used to transport food materials to the quarantined people in the hotel. At the same time, drones like quad-copters are invented to monetize the stay at home restrictions of the areas, while these drones also facilitate the transportation of test samples towards the laboratories. Now health care workers can take blood samples of patients remotely with the help of these robots, also providing a facility of mouth swabbing. In short, you can say these robots are going to be game-changers in this pandemic of coronavirus.

These are just a few examples of robots which are used for safety measures, and there are two dozens of robots types which are used till now in hospitals and public places during the Covid-19 pandemic to avoid contamination and spread among people. These robots may help us in performing various tasks like automation of testing service, treatment and the essential public routine works for the successful continuity of life. But the fact is that it is up to us, at which level we are serious and loyal to save our loved ones from this contagious disease.

Lessons taught by pandemic coronavirus

All the previous disasters taught some lessons to the human being in respective of the losses of human lives and economics. Still, unfortunately, the man always tends to forget these lessons after the passage of some time. The main reason to forget is the interests of life, while on other hands the enough awareness is lacked throughout the world. We should take lessons from all disasters and ready to take the necessary safety measure to prevent precious lives across the whole world.

Robots for future pandemics

As robots have been helping hands to humans always at the time of disasters, like now, robots for health care units and public safety are working in practice. Likewise, we should improve the robotic industry in order to make minimum losses at the time of next pandemics. Although research laboratories are trying their best to launch new robots to fulfil present needs, more devotion and efforts are required for the progress of this field according to our current needs.

It is estimated now that the nCovid-19 will assist the evolution of existing robots and their adoption to new jobs. Now at present, the automation of supply services and medical services is an overlooked emerging opportunity of robotics. The UK is experiencing currently to replace small testing units of COVID-19 test labs with the robots which will perform these tests remotely to ensure the safety of lab workers. Moreover, automatons are robots being used for delivery of groceries and disinfection purposes.

The Five Latest robots

Scientists have launched new five robots having the latest technology to meet different needs. These are explained below:

A Robot by Boston Dynamics
Boston Dynamics is an American robotics industry, has designed many robots till present. They have now launched a dog named “Yellow Dog” which is used to maintain social distancing among the people at places of congestion. This dog contains cameras and sensors on its hound and detects a violation of rules and then transmits a recorded warning to the rule breaker.

A robot by Starship Technologies
It is a California based company, usually provides self-driven robots in the market. They launched a six-wheeled robot recently, to offer delivery services for household items and food contents from supermarkets. These robots can gain a speed of 4 miles per hour and give the residents their required goods. The company is offering free delivery services to the workers of National Health Services England.

UVD Robots
These are Danish Ultraviolet robots, used as a part of regular cleaning cycles, mostly in hospitals to disinfect the floors and surfaces. The robots use powerful ultraviolet rays, which causes the destruction of DNA and RNA of germs present at that place. But it affects nearby humans also to some extent. These robots are programmed to learn autonomous work even in the absence of workers, and these can learn the complete infrastructure and layout of a building.

Zora Robots
A Belgian company Zora Bots have launched five anti-pandemic robots to fight against the battle of coronavirus. These are used in treatment rooms to take the temperature of the patient, monetizing abnormalities in different patients. Moreover, these are used to identify people who are not wearing masks. They can deliver medicine to patients and other things like food items to the quarantined people.

Robots by OhmniLabs
This company is inventing different robots used for the medical field, education system, and other managed care works. Japan is using these robots in place of quarantine students to attend graduation ceremonies in the colleges. These are known as telepresence, having a tablet computer placed on heads to make Zoom meeting. The similar type of robots is also being used in China for educational purposes.
